Armação de Pêra and the algarve

Nossa casa apartment is located at walking distance from fisherman's beach (800 m) and the village of Armação de Pêra (500 m).  There are several supermarkets at walking distance. A bakery, bar and restaurant are located next to the building. Faro airport is 50 km away and can be reached by the highway.

Armação de Pêra has the largest and widest beach in the Algarve and a long beach promenade that guarantees exciting entertainment every night. There is also a daily market,  souvenir shops, hiking trails, lively bars and restaurants,... One of the best spots in Armação de Pêra is the headland of Nossa Senhora da Rocha, a nice chapel with beautiful views on the ocean east of town. The headland is also the start of a popular coastal path leading west along this fascinating coastline as far as Praia da Marinha and Benagil. In a range of 5 km there are  three water parks: Slide & Splashh, Aqualand and Zoomarine. 

From the beach you can enjoy the omnipresent sun or take a cruise to the world's famous caves. A must see is the Benagil cave, the sun provides a beautiful play of colors in the cave. Of course you can practice water sports on the beach.  For excursions, visit one of the numerous travel agencies in the village and enjoy a fun jeep safari, dolphin spotting or a sailboat or catamaran cruise. Don't forget the inland: the beautiful countryside or the historic villages in the neighborhood.

If you love nature, feel free to visit the nature reserve next to the building. There is also a beautiful unpaved cycle path along the 232 km long coast of the Algarve.

Be sure to visit the rest of the Algarve: recommended are the lively port city of Portimão, Lagos with the beautiful punta da piedade,  Carvoeiro, the castle and the village of Silves, the mountain village Monchique with its geothermal springs, the islands around Faro, Sagres "the end of the world", too many to mention. And countless "praias", small picturesque beaches, some only accessible by sea, for those who want more privacy. 

The town is surrounded by golf courts.
